About Bion Environmental Technologies, Inc.

Bion has developed a comprehensive animal waste management system that reclaims energy and nutrients from the livestock (dairy/cattle) waste stream and largely eliminates their environmental impacts. Bion's technology enables environmental/renewable energy solutions for existing livestock facilities and allows the Company to develop integrated agribusiness projects that produce products that demonstrate environmental responsibility, safety and security, while simultaneously eliminating much of the inefficiency in today's livestock production and processing methods.

The U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization calls livestock waste "one of the top two or three most significant contributors to the most serious environmental problems at every scale." Bion's technology not only solves these problems but, by eliminating the need to spread waste on the land where it can pollute the environment, also produces the added economic benefit of significantly less acreage needed per animal.

Based on its proven and patented technology, Bion can permit and develop environmentally sustainable large scale livestock facilities in locations that significantly improve economics and market access but where it would be otherwise impossible to obtain a permit. Increased scale produces superior economics due to enhanced operational and resource efficiencies. Large scale facilities can be integrated with complementary agribusiness activities such as biofuels production and livestock/food processing in a cooperative enterprise that capitalizes on shared resources and infrastructure and greatly improved transportation efficiencies. All participants in Bion's integrated projects realize improved energy, environmental and economic efficiency and a reduced carbon footprint.

Bion's technology recovers renewable energy from the waste in a process that is much different and far more efficient than other technologies that seek to exploit this energy source. Bion's platform currently extracts the cellulosic biomass to produce a combustible solid fuel that replaces the use of fossil fuels in its integrated projects. Bion anticipates that developments in biomass-to-liquids processes in the near future will allow the Company to realize even greater economic and energy value from the livestock waste stream by converting the biomass directly into a transportation fuel such as cellulosic ethanol.

Bion has been providing solutions to the livestock industry since 1990 (with 32 Bion Systems, based on its first generation technology, installed through 2000). Bion developed a second generation of its core technology to meet changing standards and requirements; it has been tested and proven to address both the air and water pollution associated with livestock waste and recover much of its renewable energy. The Company has assembled a highly-qualified team with knowledge and experience in the various disciplines needed to develop integrated projects.
